1 – Heating and air conditioning systems
The TraceTek sensor cable is ideal for monitoring water-operated heating and air conditioning systems. As soon as a leak is detected, the system can shut off the water supply via the relay contact, preventing costly damage in your office.
2 – Telephone systems and control cabinets
The sensor cable monitors pipelines that are laid over highly sensitive telecommunications equipment or switchgear. In the event of a leak, the TraceTek locator reports the alarm and can also forward it to the central building management system.
3 – Technical rooms
In unattended basements and technical rooms, TraceTek systems provide 24/7 leak monitoring. Thanks to early detection, you can take countermeasures much faster before the system fails or valuable goods are damaged.
4 – Supply shafts
Leaky areas in supply shafts can cause damage on several floors. TraceTek offers flexible installation options, so that rooms that are far apart can also be easily monitored with the help of T-branches or area delimiters.
5 – Networks
Network servers are often housed in rooms that are inadequately protected. To prevent leakage damage, the sensor cable is laid in raised floors and/or drip pans underneath ceiling-mounted pipe routes.
6 – Data centers, server rooms
In computer rooms, the sensor cable is laid in a meandering pattern in the raised floor near sanitary facilities, water pipes, air conditioning systems and other sources of risk. Raised floors are particularly at risk because water leaks initially go unnoticed there. If a leak then occurs in the raised floor, the first sign may be the failure of a critical system, usually associated with the loss of data and customer confidence.
7 – Telephone exchanges
The TraceTek sensor cable protects telephone systems when it is installed, for example, below water pipes and/or along the edge of the room. Leaks can be detected and rectified early in this way before a fault occurs.
8 – Emergency power generators
Hospitals, server rooms, large office buildings and many other commercial institutional facilities require emergency power generators, which are operated with diesel. A special TraceTek sensor cable is used to monitor such emergency power generators. The sensor cable is laid at the foot of the units and reacts to escaping diesel fuel and other hydrocarbons.
